When choosing a network marketing company the product is very important. It will be very difficult to be successful with a company that has a bad product. So what do you look for in a product.
First, it should be something that people want to use. There needs to be a market for the product. Without an established market for the product it will be hard to interest and excite people about your company and opportunity.
People will want to buy the products if they feel that the product will help them have a better life style in some way. Their perceived better life style could be in many different areas, such as better health, making more money, saving money, increased knowledge about some subject, strengthening relationships, vacations, etc.
The product should fill some niche. As such, it should not be something they can buy almost any where. Since most network marketing products sell at a higher price so that commissions can be paid, your product should be some what “rare” or hard to find, so that people will not mind paying a somewhat higher price.
It is good if the product is consumable. A consumable product results in repeat sales, which means recurring income for you.
An alternative to a consumable product is a product that is new or added upon on a regular basis. An example would be a membership site where additional information is posted regularly. People will keep coming back to get the latest information.
Try to avoid fad products. They come and go. When they go, your income can easily go with them.
The product should not be complicated. If you can’t easily explain it to someone you will likely fail. People do not buy something they do not understand.
The product that a MLM sells is critical to your success or failure. Take a long, hard look at it before you make a decision on joining a network marketing company.
